Poplin shirt review....

I got several of tops...reason why...had a great coupon. The more the got the better the deal. I felt it was worth it because they don't look cheap. You know that some of these stores have really cheap stuff and you can end up looking like a hot mess!!! I really can't stand when I see my fellow BBW's looking like they just don't care. I get so embarrassed. Anyway, I will get off of my soap box about that.

Cons: None

I just love, love, love these. I am so glad that I got one in every color, should have gotten two in white and black. I love the fit, I got my in the 18/20. If I would have gotten my regular size they would have been too big and I don't like to look sloppy. I use these as a waredrobe staple. They work well with a nice pair of slacks and was surprised with how nice they looked with a jeans. I plan on getting them dry cleaned to make sure they always stay fresh. I can get two wears from them, so I feel that it's worth getting them dry cleaned for a while. I wish they came in more colors!!!!!! BTW...I wear my untucked...

Better Blogging...

I went to a blogging class offered by a place called MALT (Mt. Airy Learning Tree) here in Philly. What they do is offer different courses like cooking, dancing and spiritual classes, yoga, etc. It's really cool!! Well, it was the PITS. There was nothing hands-on about it. The "instructor" just went on different blogs to talk about them and most of those blogs were her own and relatives. I was getting very frustrated to say the least. I made a statement last night and asked were we getting any hands-on, she sort of blow me off. I got pissed after that. At the end they have a survey, I normally give 5 being the best, I gave her 2's and 3's. Oh well, better luck learning on my own. It's blogging how hard can it be????

Where have I been....

First, hello to everyone. It's been a while since I been on the site or any site that has to do with sewing. After my trip to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, I've moved in our new home. We got it the end of Jan, but just moved in the end of April. Between working, packing and classes, sewing was put on the back burner. My goal for this week is to set up my sewing room, even if it's only temporary. I want to remove the carpet and lay some laminate wood, for easy clean up. I don't like to vac threads and stuff. Plus it will be using it as my beading room as well. The cable TV is all set up, just have to move my computer up there. I did treat myself to a new ironing broad. I got it at Wal-mart; I like it because it's wide. Anyway, will chat soon...I am getting my sewing bug back and I want to make this two pc set form a nice knit I got from http://www.fabric.com/. I've decided not to buy, if I can help it, any more fabric until I sew up at least 30% of what I had. When I moved it seemed like I had more boxes of fabric then anything else. Oh well....
